Refund policy

We here at Sandpiper go out of our way to ensure that our brand partners have provided you, our customers, the quality of product and competitive price that we ourselves as professionals have come to expect. We truly believe that you will be thrilled with the products you purchase from us, however, we also understand that sometimes a product may not be what you expect it to be. In that unlikely event, we invite you to review the following terms relating to returning a product and then use the link below to access your orders and initiate a self-serve cancellation or return:

 

STANDARD RETURN / CANCELLATION POLICY
Any order may freely be cancelled at any time prior to being shipped.

To return an order or unused product in saleable condition**, simply contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and we’ll be happy to provide you with a RA Number (Return Authorization Number) and the appropriate return shipping information. Please note that an RA number is not a shipping label; Return shipping is your responsibility and we do not provide free return shipping. 

Authorized returns should be received by us no later than 14 days, so please mail packages immediately after receiving your RA number. All return shipments must be sent using a trackable service and refunds will be processed upon receipt of goods.

** SALEABLE CONDITION OF RETURNED PRODUCTS
Saleable condition refers to products in new and unused condition that can be resold without any further expense (losses) to us having to refurbish or repackage them.

Knives that have been dulled, nicked or sharpened, staples with compressed or darkened cork, sharpening stones that have been used, bottles that have had their safety seal broken are just some examples of items that cannot be returned. 

RETURNING PART OR ALL OF AN ORDER THAT QUALIFIED FOR FREE SHIPPING
The return of complete or partial orders that qualified for free shipping are governed by our Standard Return Policy, however, the actual cost of shipping and handling of the original package incurred by Sandpiper Oboe Boutique will be deducted from the final refund.

SALES TAX & FEES
Where required by local and international laws, Sandpiper Oboe Boutique collects and remits sales taxes based on the products sold and the destination of supply. When an item is returned, the original purchase price and all eligible sales taxes are refunded to the customer. Please note that policies and procedures of various jurisdictions vary and as such, International customs, brokerage fees, duty and any other expenses incurred on foreign orders that were not collected at checkout are not the responsibility of Sandpiper Oboe Boutique.

RETURN OF MADE TO ORDER & SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS
Made to order and Special Order Items items such as SHAPER TIPS, BOCALS and MARCUS BONNA CASES leave our facility fully inspected and may not be eligible for returns or in some cases be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

RETURN OF CANE PRODUCTS
All cane products are final sale to both us and to our customers. As with many natural products, cane inherently has flaws and non-visible variations from batch to batch, season to season, harvest to harvest and so forth. Cane brands, with the exception of "premium" or “select” products are shipped by suppliers in a bulk and unsorted fashion. Sandpiper, in the spirit of being fair to all customers, also does not “pick through” cane that gets repackaged with the exception of any damaged cane that is plainly seen upon visual inspection. It is for these reasons that we ourselves can’t return cane to our suppliers and unfortunately aren’t able to offer any guarantees either.
