Specifically designed to complement F. Lorée oboes with the 'AK' bore, these 'AK' model staples feature a more pronounced taper at the top, offering a slightly more conical shape that mirrors the acoustical design of the 'AK' bore itself. This refined profile has made them a popular choice among oboists seeking enhanced response and tonal focus.

As with the original F. Lorée staples, the 'AK' model includes triple serrations to reduce cane slippage during tying. Available in both brass and nickel silver finishes and in lengths of 46mm and 47mm, they suit a wide range of reed-making preferences. These staples are made to fit best on an F. Lorée AK oboe mandrel, but are also compatible with the Chiarugi #2+ oboe mandrel, offering flexibility without sacrificing stability.
